Cy Young Award winners: Gerrit Cole and Blake Snell win

NEW YORK (AP) — After several close calls, Gerrit Cole finally won his first American League Cy Young Award on the strength of consistent excellence all season. Blake Snell joined a short list of pitching royalty by turning around a terrible start. Cole was a unanimous AL winner Wednesday and Snell took home Cy Young honors in the National League — becoming the seventh hurler to claim the prize in both circuits.

Intuitive Machines raises $20 million

WASHINGTON — Lunar lander developer Intuitive Machines announced Aug. 31 it raised $20 million through a sale of stock as the company gears up for its first mission. The Houston-based company said in a Securities and Exchange Commission filing that it sold approximately 4.7 million shares to an unnamed institutional investor at $4.25 per share. The company said it would use the proceeds for “general corporate purposes and working capital needs.
