Clawitzer is the evolved form of Clauncher, meaning that players will need to focus on capturing them first. Players will need to obtain 50 candy in order to evolve it. Fortunately, the Rivals Week event makes it much easier to encounter in the game. Here are all the ways players can find Clauncher in Pokemon GO.
- Field Research: During Rivals Week, players can complete the "Win a raid" research task to encounter a Skrelp or Clauncher.
- Raid Battles: Clauncher is currently active as part of a 1-star raid. Players can easily complete this task on their own. Make sure to check the raid tab as often as you can to find it.
- Wild: Like every other Pokemon, Clauncher will begin to appear in the wild. Using a Lure Module will make it much easier to encounter in the wild.
When encountering a Clauncher, make sure to use a Pinap Berry to double the number of candy you will receive when capturing it. Alternatively, players can set Clauncher as a buddy to earn candy based on the distance the player walks. This should be an easy addition to make to your Pokemon collection.
