Gem Fusing
You can fuse gems in Lost Ark by combining 3 gems of the same level to get 1 gem of the next level. The likelihood of getting damage or cooldown reduction (CDR) gems is random and can not be influenced.
To combine 3 gems they have to be of the same level (e.g. 3 level 4 gems to get one level 5 gem) and the same tier (e.g. tier 3).
How to fuse gems?
Gem Types
There are two types of gems: one increases the damage directly and the other reduces the cooldown of a skill. The level of your gem defines how powerful the effect will be:

The only way you can change the type of gems is by fusing them. Therefore, the type of a level 10 gem is always final since you can’t fuse level 10 gems anymore.
As you can see in the table, there is a huge boost in value you get from level 10 attack gems (10 percentage points increase) while the effect of a level 10 CDR gem is only an increase of 2 percent points. This results in a huge discrepancy between the market values of a level 10 attack gem and a level 10 CDR gem.
Gem Rerolling
You can reroll your gem to change the skill. Here’s what you need to know about rerolling a gem in Lost Ark:
- Rerolling a gem will assign a random skill to that gem.
- You can get the same skill again.
- The skill will always be a skill of the class, that is rerolling that gem (e.g. a Sorceress will always roll Sorc-Skills on her gems).
- If you reroll an attack gem, you will always get an attack gem. The same is true for cooldown gems.
- You can reroll as long as you have sufficient silver.
Every reroll attempt comes with a hefty silver cost. The higher your gem, the more silver you need.
