Similar to Escape from Tarkov's Gunsmith Part 4, Gunsmith Part 5 has received an update since the last wipe which now tasks players with modifying the Remington Model 870 instead of the complex DVL-10 Saboteur. This update comes easily to most players as the Remington shotgun is far more accessible than the DVL-10, having players save a lot of time and money. Thankfully, the M870 and its attachments for this task come from low-level merchants, having loyalty level two as the highest requirement. All of the build items are available on the flea market or commonly found within raids inside weapon crates.

What Do You Need To Do For Gunsmith Part 5

To complete Gunsmith Part 5, you're going to have to build a Remington Model 870 to the following criteria:

  • 60 Durability
  • 500 or less recoil
  • 60 or more ergonomics
  • Any tactical device (such as the NcSTAR Tactical blue laser LAM-module)
  • Any foregrip
  • M870 Magpul MOE handguard

This build is based on a standard Remington M870 sold by Skier loyalty level one, the build isn't challenging to create and can be done effortlessly. If you require attachments, you will be able to find them in raids within weapon crates, on scavs, or spawning with them inside of scav runs. 

Please double-check and ensure your M870 is above 60 durability otherwise Mechanic won't accept the shotgun!

To complete Gunsmith Part 5 you'll need to equip the M870 with the following attachments:

  • +4,100 EXP
  • Mechanic Rep +0.01
  • 300 Dollars
    • 315 Dollars with Intelligence Center Level 1
    • 345 Dollars Intelligence Center Level 2
  • 3× Weapon parts
  • Unlocks barter for Ammunition case at Mechanic LL1

Not particularly flattering rewards, however, they'll only grow in upcoming tasks, 300 dollars and weapon parts aren't too bad?
