It was an emotional moment for Jason Kelce on Monday as one of the greatest NFL centers have decided to retire from the game. The announcement was on expected lines after Eagles lost the playoff match against Tampa Bay Buccaneers back in January.
The 36-year old spent 13 seasons with the Philadelphia Eagles leaving behind a legacy which will put him in the Hall of Fame in the future.
But how much did the legendary center earn in all his 13 seasons with the Eagles in NFL?
As per a report by Spotrac, the elder Kelce has earned $81,708,745 in his 13-year span. The Eagles decided to choose Kelce in the sixth round of the 2011 NFL Draft. He signed a 4-year rookie contract of $2,137,432. He proved to be a steal and earned a contract renewal at the end of his initial deal.
In the contract renewal, the Cincinnati product signed a 6-year $37.5 Million deal which included $6 Million signing bonus, $13 Million in guarantees along with an average salary of $6.25 Million.
Kelce was more than impressive yet again and it saw him acquire yet another renewal in 2019. Back then it was a $24.5 Million deal along with $7.57 signing bonus, $17.5 Million in guarantees and an average annual salary of $8,166,667.
Ahead of the 2023-24 season he brushed aside retirement rumours and signed his final deal.
Kelce will always be remembered for proving his doubters wrong as he has been a regular top-100 player since 2014.
