The Ada County Sheriff's Office (ACSO) would like you to take a survey to let them know if you think they should expand the Ada County Jail.

According to the ACSO, the last time they expanded the jail was in 2013 when they added the 88-bed maximum-security unit. At that time the population of Ada County was 417,180.

In the last decade, the population has increased by 33 percent to 544,590 and is projected to continue to increase to well over 600,000 in the decade to come according to COMPASS.

ACSO says that they have a total of 1,116 beds and an average number of 1,013 inmates over the last year.
